After a brief stint in the City with HSBC Investment Bank, Giles qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and then spent eleven years as a venture capital and private equity investor, investing in and becoming a non-executive director of a wide variety of UK SMEs. After a period running his own start-up and consulting for private equity, he became CFO of Intelligent Office, the UK’s leading legal back-office outsourcing firm. He then consulted again following the sale of the company to Williams Lea, before joining SentryBay in February 2024, after the investment by Pelican Capital.
